The house
450 m² on a 600 m² plot, and nobody above, below or next door.
Villa Safira sits in the Akenza residence, a gated estate with a 24/7 guard, a tennis court and a football pitch, at the foot of the Akenza golf course. Inside: a large living room open on the pool, a dining table for twelve, a fully equipped kitchen, six bedrooms on three levels, and a lower floor with a cinema screen, a billiards table and a fitness corner.

The residence is on the southern edge of Marrakech, on the road to the Ourika valley. Fifteen to twenty minutes by car to Jemaa el-Fna, the Majorelle garden and the Bahia palace; shops, restaurants and the Almazar mall a few minutes away; golf, horse riding and water parks around.

I grew up in Casablanca and I live between Lisbon and Marrakech. I have hosted on Airbnb for thirteen years and I answer messages myself, usually within the hour, in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic. At the villa, our housekeeper welcomes you in person, shows you the house and the pool, and cooks the breakfasts.

Is it the same villa as on Airbnb?
Yes: same villa, same calendar, same host. Here it is 10% less, because there is no platform commission.
How does arrival go?
Our housekeeper welcomes you at the villa, shows you around, and greets you with tea and welcome pastries. A little water is offered on arrival; water for the rest of the stay is at your expense.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, by bank card through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
What if I need something during the stay?
You write to us on WhatsApp and we answer quickly, in English or in French.
Is there parking?
Yes, free private parking: two spaces on the villa's driveway, inside the residence, which is guarded around the clock.
How many people can sleep here?
Sixteen: a king bed and a single bed in bedroom 1, three single beds in bedroom 2, a queen bed and a single bed in each of bedrooms 3, 4 and 5, a queen bed in bedroom 6. Plus three folding single beds, three baby cots and four high chairs on request, free of charge.
Can we book for a weekend?
The booking calendar shows the minimum number of nights for each arrival date; it is usually three nights and varies with the season.
Are there stairs?
Yes: bedrooms 1, 2, 4 and 5 are upstairs; the cinema, billiards, gym and bedroom 6 are on the lower level. Worth knowing with heavy luggage or reduced mobility. Bedroom 3, the living room and the kitchen are on the ground floor.
Can I bring my pet, or throw a party?
Small pets are welcome on prior request, with a 250 EUR cleaning fee per stay. Parties and events, no: the house is made for families and groups of friends staying together, and the residence is quiet in the evening.
Can I cancel?
You have 24 hours after booking to cancel free of charge, provided your arrival is more than 14 days away. After that, up to 30 days before arrival we refund 50%; less than 30 days before arrival, the stay is no longer refundable.
